Deciding on which tattoo you want is a very serious decission - you can't change your mind afterwards, so please take your time and give everything due consideration. Some people prefer to get their design in a temporary tattoo to wear first - see if they really like it on them - they always look different on the computer screen or in a book. This approach is highly recomended. Good luck in finding the design that is perfect for YOU!

Tattoo Placement

September 26th, 2009 by admin | No Comments | Filed in arm tattoos

I have written about tattoo placement once before but I wanted to touch on the subject again. Like I said before there are endless places on your body where you can get a tattoo. But when you have made the decision to get a tattoo, deciding where it should go on your body is just as important. For instance, if you dont want to be preceived as trashy than getting a tattoo on your arm or some other highly visible place is probably not a good idea. If you are wanting a tattoo to express your sexiness than the lower back or somewhere more private would be a great place. And Im not sure about everyone else out there but I think tattoos that are on the back of necks are sexy.

So if you keep those sort of things in mind it could help you decided where to get inked. Or if the placement really doesnt matter to you than you have a whole heck of a lot other places to choose from on your body. Just keep in mind getting a tattoo in a place that can be covered up is a huge plus. Trying to land a new job when you are older and wiser having those very visible tattoos might cost you the job. Which I think is ridiculous but todays society still views tattoos as a no no and unprofessional.

Also like I have said before if this will be your first tattoo try not to get something that is huge and crazy. The main reason is a ton of people regret their first tattoo and you dont want to be stuck with the huge tattoo the rest of your life, if you turn out to regret it later on down the road.

Tattoo Designs of Stars

September 16th, 2009 by admin | No Comments | Filed in tattoo designs

Tattoo designs of stars and fairies have been with us as long as any other unknown creature and the real beginnings of their varieties varies from within different people and cultural groups. Tattoo designs of stars are one of the most searched for tattoo designs nowadays – they have a sense of eternity about them. Apart from the heart, tattoo designs of stars and nautical star tattoos look very vibrant and have a lot of scope for innovation.

They are popular as a first tattoo because tattoo designs of stars are usually small in design and they don’t have to be very complicated, a simple black star can be very striking. There are many variations of star tattoos , like the nautical star tattoos and the moon star tattoos. Many people claim that these images have a powerful symbolic or metaphysical meaning. That’s why stars and star tattoos became such a powerful symbol. Shooting star tattoos are a very popular image, being versatile and pretty. A shooting star tattoo can incorporate a ‘trail’ of smaller stars, which is very pretty and delicate – a great way for a tattoo to cover a slightly larger area but still remain subtle. Shooting stars are also a symbol for (short-lived) success and good luck. The nautical star tattoo is the most masculine design amongst designs of star along with the moon star tattoos. Nautical stars are considered old school. In the early days of tattooing, they used to be popular amongst sailors, who had them for guidance and protection. The nautical star has a special meaning in the gay and lesbian community. Some gay and lesbian people have them on their wrist as a sign of their disposition.

Tattoos aim to transform the body, inscribing meaning on the blank canvas of flesh. Even lit ones have definitely lost their “rebellious” intellectual meaning, at least to a very serious degree. Tattoo designs of stars exist in most cultures in ancient times and now are just a permanent representations of who I am.

Celebrity Tattoos: Drew Barrymoore

August 14th, 2009 by admin | No Comments | Filed in butterfly tattoos

Well it is another Wednesday so that means it is celebrity tattoo time. This week I picked Drew Barrymore because she hasa collection of 6 tattoos at the moment. But Drew has admitted that if the mood strikes her she hasnt ruled out the possibility of getting another one.

Drews tattoos consist of a bouquet of flowers on the left side of her hip. On her stomach she has a butterfly tattoo which is probably her most well known tattoo. She also have a very small black crescent moon on her big toe. On the lower part of her right leg she has a fairly large tattoo of a cross with vines surrounding it. And lastly she has two angles on her lower back. One has Drews mothers name Jaid written under it and the other has an ex-boyfriends name James under it.

Like most tattooed people you fall in love with your tattoos and love to talk and share them with people. Well Drew is certainly one of those people. Drew was asked in an interview what she loved most about her body and guess what she said? Her tattoos. Heres what she said:

I love my tattoos, which are like permanent make-up. I have an angel on my hip, a butterfly under my navel, a Celtic cross on my calf and a blue moon on my toe.

I will not have any of my body parts pierced, though – that scares the hell out of me.

If you have a suggestion of a celebrity you would like me to cover then just let me know.
