Punk Tattoos

September 17th, 2009 by admin | Filed in arm tattoos

Punk tattoos are most frequently colorful and are located on highly visible parts of the body; it also includes the head and face. Tattoo imagery is a mosaic of borrowed symbols and icons from various cultures and subcultures: skulls, dragon Asian and tribal designs, biker elements, literal tattoos, anti-establishment tattoos, punk and music icons and animals.

It is based on non-conform appearance from the point of view of clothing, hairstyle, tattoos and jewelry. Punks have created their own universe; they have obeyed their own rules and they have not been interested in what other normal people could say about them.

Punk tattoos are a chaos and rebellion against dullness. Usually they are large placed on arms, back, legs in black and grey color. Colors as red or yellow showing off fierce and rebel are mostly used. Mostly teenagers and young men and women go for punk tattoos depicting sacrifice, torture, wars and other images.

A tattoo used to be a permanent and irreversible adornment to one’s skin. However, in recent years derma surgeons have developed safe and effective techniques to successfully remove unwanted tattoos. Tattoo inks are classified as cosmetics, so they aren’t regulated or approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The pigments and dyes used in tattoo inks aren’t approved for injection under the skin. Long-term effects of these are unknown.

Risks of tattoo

Specific risks of tattoos include: Blood-borne diseases. If the equipment used to create your tattoo is contaminated with the blood of an infected person, you can contract a number of serious blood-borne diseases. These include hepatitis C, hepatitis B, tetanus, tuberculosis and HIV; it is the virus that causes AIDS. This also causes skin disorders. Your body may form bumps called granulomas around tattoo ink, especially if your tattoo includes red ink. Tattooing can also cause areas of raised, excessive scarring, if you’re prone to them.

Temporary tattoos, such as those applied to the skin with a moistened wad of cotton, fade several days after application. Most contain color additives approved for cosmetic use on the skin. However, the agency has issued an import alert for certain foreign-made temporary tattoos.
